Dr. Aminah Mah is the author of Watering the Roots: A 1-2-3 Parent Wellbeing Guide (a Muslim Perspective).

Born in Taiwan, Aminah grew up in Malaysia, and pursued her first career in nursing in Australia. Aminah later migrated to settle in Australia with her young family. While raising her three children Aminah furthered her academic studies in education and volunteered at community organisations where she provided personal development programs and activities for migrant Muslim families. For her Master’s degree, Aminah researched parenting practices of migrant Muslims in Australia. Her PhD research focused on wellbeing and counselling services in Australian Muslim schools. Aminah’s special interest is in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. In her book Watering the Roots, Aminah offers a concise wellbeing framework, for anyone who believes in God and life in the Hereafter to attain ultimate wellbeing.

Currently Aminah provides workshops, seminars through her consulting services to individuals, community and schools to develop wellbeing skills appropriate for their life goals. Aminah also runs her home-based skincare business, formulating and producing handmade products for people seeking a natural, safe, effective and environmentally sound skincare range.
