Protect the Curtin Gaza Solidarity Encampment

A Zionist rally has been called for this Friday. They claim that the Palestine solidarity encampments are anti-semitic, and a danger to Jewish students and staff. We reject this. Our encampment rejects anti-semitism and all forms of bigotry and racism. We reject the claim that criticising Israel is anti-semititic and celebrate the Jewish people who have protested for Palestine, including Jews for a Free Palestine in WA. Israel is 7 months into a genocide of the Palestinians. Equating anti-semitism with anti-Zionism in this context, is silencing criticism of the current genocide which has killed over 35,000 people in Gaza – which is exactly what the Zionist rally is attempting to do. We are calling on all supporters to come to our encampment at the forum at Curtin university at 12pm to defend the camp, peacefully stand against any threats from Zionists and to continue to call on Curtin university to cut ties with weapons companies that arm Israel.
