Fremantle City Coldstores

Over the years the coldstores has made numerous modifications and improvements to the premises. The chiller was moved from the dock into one of the coldstores, a blast freezer was installed which gave the coldstores another avenue by which it could generate income through freezing of various products. Later a plate freezing chamber was constructed which currently houses four plates freezers equating to some 21,000 tonnes of freezing capacity that can be rotated every 24 hours.
