Important Announcement Regarding Sakinah Islamic Centre Cockburn

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh respected community members, elders, and friends,

Alhamdulillah, we are pleased to announce that Sakinah Islamic Centre will commence *Jumma and ALL prayers at our new location: 840 North Lake Road, Cockburn Central from 03 NOVEMBER 2023.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your patience during this transitional period. The Centre has diligently met the council's requirements to ensure everyone's safety and security, and we are thrilled to announce our permanent occupancy approval. We eagerly anticipate welcoming you to our new home.

To reiterate, Mualana Zafar Marwat will be our Imam, leading all prayers. The first Jumuah will be led by Mufti Shabir Moosa, and we express our sincere thanks to him for accepting our invitation.

Additionally, we invite you to consider volunteering at our Centre to ensure its smooth operation. A volunteer interest form will be distributed within the next two weeks. Your commitment, even if it's just an hour a week, is invaluable. Everyone is welcome to contribute.

Lastly, we humbly request all community members to dedicate some time for dua, especially for the people of Palestine during these profoundly challenging times for the Ummah. May Allah grant victory to the true custodians of Al Aqsa.
