Muhammad Agherdien BA, Theology (Islamic Science & Arabic)BA(Hon) Islamic StudiesMuslim Chaplain (Edith Cowan University) Born in the southern tip of Africa , the city of Cape Town , South Africa . At a very young age, Sh. Muhammad memorised the glorious Quran. Studied at a foremost seminary, Darul Uloom – Newcastle . It was an intensive six year programme covering all areas of Islamic learning. He served as Imam of a Mosque in his native country for a period of eight years. This was indeed a very meaningful experience particularly in the areas of social, economic and educational empowerment of the disadvantaged and dispossessed in the community. In August 2003 Sheikh Muhammad AGHREDIAN arrived in Perth . Currently he serves as Imam of the Mirrabooka Mosque. During the week he teaches Islamic Studies and the Arabic language at the Langford Islamic College. A definite highlight was being involved in organising the inter-faith commemoration of Hiroshima . |
